After a full day of learning, my son is ravenous. Choosing healthy snack foods to have available for him is imperative. Healthy snacks can improve a person’s health by adding fiber and nutrients to the diet. For a child, a healthy snack can provide a much needed energy boost, for after school activities including homework.

Green Supreme Smoothie


-2 bananas

-a handful of spinach

-1/2 cup of frozen peaches

-1/2 cup of frozen mango

-1 cup water

-ice optional

-for an extra boost, a teaspoon of flaxseed and some spirulina powder

Combine all ingredients in the blender until smooth.  Serve instantly.
